Review: Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Skin Foundation SPF 15 (220 Natural Beige) and Revlon PhotoReady Two Way SPF 19 (001 Ivory)

Hola, niñas! 

On this occasion I will review other products from Revlon, the foundation. I was hunting a durable foundation in my oily skin but does not make white-cast. I need foundie that really gives long lasting for all day wear. After browsing and asking here and there, I finally decided to buy foundation from Revlon; Revlon ColorStay for Combination or Oily Skin. Gonna make this review shortly as previously Riztrya already reviewed the same product, the difference is the type of product, Riztrya choose Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal / Dry Skin. Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Normal / Dry Skin has 12 shades of color choices, while Revlon ColorStay for Combination or oily skin has more color choices, i.e. 20 shades. Riztrya and I picked the same shade; Natural Beige. It's match for Indonesian's skin (kuning langsat). And, for the normal / dry skin, SPF on Revlon Colorstay would be higher than for combination / oily skin. It because SPF also works to balance the oil levels for the skin.

Here we go!

This packaging makes bloggers all around the world complain. Impractical at all! Foundation better with a pump. And, it can be very vulnerable when poured, come out too much. It also has very large hole -___-. The cap of the bottle used the threaded models. This cap also would be a disaster called "spilled in the bag" because sometime I twisted the cap less tight.

This foundation is quiet watery, creamy and the texture isn't too thick as BB Cream. So more easily assimilated and leveled in the skin. This foundation has medium-high coverage. If used daily, for me that non-daily user foundation, it's quite heavy. But if you want to use it daily, you can use with a small amount ;)

As you can see, Revlon Colorstay can't cover all of my pimples. But for me, it's fair enough. You need powder after use this foundation. I'm using Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation in Ivory shade, the brightest shade. Tips: if you pick a darker shade (darker than your face color) for your face foundation, then for your finishing powder / compact, you can pick a brighter one. I bought the refill (IDR 125k+sponge), cause the whole packaging (sponge+mirror) is IDR 175k. it's only give a mirror and you should add 50k. Geez nooo :p

I'm not going to give a lot of comments for the packaging, because I bought her Refill packs. But the soft sponge, can elevate powder well and can blend the powder into the skin well. If usually I prefer to use the brush for TWC applications, for Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Powder Foundation  It isn't the problem anyway using its sponge. Because the results are smooth and natural as well.

According Revlon site, this PhotoReady line's product has been tested with under natural lighting and space, and also below the camera lens with high resolution, the result is the face skin looks smoother. TWC is equipped with Photochromatic pigments that blend and refract light. Extra fine powder, its coverage of medium to full with a light texture and a soft matte final result. Also comes with SPF 19. Oh yes, this powder is also oil free and fragance free.

Natural and light to use it everyday, but still flatten the skin color, cover the lightly stain and eyebag, as well as make the skin look smoother.

Pros Revlon Colorstay Foundation:

1. Liquid texture, easy to blend in 
2. Good staying power 
3. Good oil control (although for my skin still need primer on the T-zone)
4. Medium to full coverage
5. Affordable, compare to other variants / brands (IDR 130k/30ml) 
6. Has a SPF (low SPF = less-white cast)
7. Has no annoying fragrance 
8. Provides many variant shade for you skin colour

Cons  Revlon Colorstay Foundation:

1. It didn't come with a pump
2. It might not be used daily

Pros Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation:

1. Blendable
2. Longlasting 
3. Do not give a cakey feel 
4. Conceal pores and under eye area. 
5. Double function as a foundation too (use a damp sponge). 
6. The sponge has a good quality  
7. Fragrance free
8. Natural matte finish

 Cons Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation:

1. Expensive :')

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (#415, #423, #445)

Hola, niñas. I want to review a lipstick product from Revlon. Liana reviewed it before (here). Anyway, believe it or not, I used to hard to choose lipstick. Well, all of my doubts finally vanished when I tried this product from Revlon. I also had some lipsticks (beside Revlon), but still these are the most commonly used.

Based on the results of chit chat with Revlon's Beauty Adviser, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick is a legendary product and sales are included in the category of best seller. Reasonable anyway, besides the price is quite cheap at IDR 35K, this lipstick has 82 colors with 4 different types of finishes. 4 types of finishes that are Matte, Pearl, Creme, and Shine. Every finishes have different effects if it used:

1. Matte, dry effect and make the color of lipstick is getting stick on the lips. 
2. Pearl, beads shimmer makes our lips more shiny but not glossy. 
3. Creme, creamy texture effects and once you know it gently worn on the lips. Not too dry but not too shiny. 
4. Shine, if you wear lipstick with these finishes, you should not apply the lipgloss anymore, because it has a glossy shine effect.

Let's begin the review!

 From all Revlon Lipstick's packaging that ever I saw, I think this variant has most simple packaging and is fairly standard to be called elegant. Packaging is made of black plastic and golden in the middle with "Revlon" writing on it.

Pros: 

• Pigmented 
• The price is cheap and the product easy to find 
• The lip color wears evenly
• Many color choices and wearable for Asian skin
• Soft texture 
• Completely fragrance free product
• Doesn't give a dry effect
• Lasting for 4-6 hours without heavy meals

Cons:

• If you wear the shock color it gives a stain on your lips

After a loooooong hiatus finally Riztrya back with another make up review! Sebenernya selama hiatus ini aku gak berhenti belanja make up kok hahaha dan banyak banget yang mau di review tapi rasanya gatel untuk review yang satu ini duluan hihihi so check this out!

Produk ini aku beli sekitar 6 bulan yang lalu waktu aku dan mama ku lagi cari-cari lipstick revlon. Awalnya berniat beli lipstick doang, berhubung SPG nya luar biasa menawarkan produk ini, tergodalah aku dan mama ku untuk beli produk ini. Aku lupa deh beli di harga berapa, yang jelas produk Revlon tidak pernah mengecewakan^^ 

As what i said before, Revlon produk yang tidak pernah mengecewakan konsumennya, it's actually my mom's favorite product but then i turned to like it as well :D Mama ku pecinta Revlon boleh ku bilang, doi gak mau beralih ke produk lain untuk compact powder, pelembab, dan lipstick.

Kenapa aku memilih untuk normal/dry skin dan shade natural beige?

Well, kulit muka ku tidak terlalu putih, tapi juga gak terlalu gelap, daripada cari masalah, mending cari aman deh pake natural beige. Daaaan kulit ku ini masih cukup kering dibandingkan dengan kulit lainnya :( so i decided to choose this one.

Pertama coba produk ini untuk acara inagurasi di kampus, kebetulan acaranya berlangsung dari pagi sampai malam (sekitar jam 10 pagi sampai jam 11 malam). Sebelumnya aku pernah coba produk seperti ini dari beberapa brand, tapi aku akan sangat merekomendasikan produk ini terutama untuk make up jangka panjang. 

Langsung jatuh cinta banget begitu pakai produk ini. Sayangnya pemakaiannya harus hati-hati karena packagingnya tidak menggunakan pump atau pencetan (?) tapi langsung di tuang ke tangan kalian. Untuk kalian yang ceroboh seperti aku, sebaiknya berhati-hati saat menggunakan produk ini. Karena kalian gak butuh banyak untuk menggunakan ini dalam satu kali pemakaian. Dengan sedikit saja, kalian akan langsung rasakan keajaibannya n___n

Selain blend well dengan kulit kalian, produk ini terasa sangat ringan dan gak lengket di wajah. Untuk kekuatannya sih produk ini aku kasih nilai 90 karena sangat bertahan lama dalam kondisi apapun, cocok digunakan saat pesta atau special occasion lainnya. Berikut aku tampilkan hasil before after wajah ku (forgive my big eyebag)

Lihat perbedaannya? :"D sebelum menggunakan apapun, wajah ku terlihat kusam dihiasi dengan dark circle dan eyebag yang super besar lol tapi setelah menggunakan revlon colorstay makeup wajah ku terlihat lebih flawless, mulus, dan brighter than before, right? ^^ 

Aku tidak menyarankan penggunaan berlebih untuk produk satu ini, cukup digunakan saat kalian mau ke pesta atau ada event yang butuh make up tahan lama, THIS IS THE REAL ANSWER <3

Pros (+) :

1. SUPERB TAHAN LAMA
2. Tidak lengket di wajah
3. Sangat ringan di wajah (serasa gak pakai makeup, seriously)
4. Tidak membuat makeup terlihat menor atau berlebih
5. Sangat mudah menyatu dengan wajah kalian

 Cons (-) :

1. Harga agak mahal untuk standar pelajar (mahasiswa masih masuk deh hahaha)
2. Not easy to use - karena packaging nya kadang bikin tumpah atau kebanyakan keluar
3. Coverage medium - untuk kalian yang ingin coverage lebih, bisa menggunakan BB Cream setelah menggunakan ini ^^

Oke deh, next aku akan review untuk eyeliner innisfree dan concealer NYX nya juga ya.

REVIEW: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 650 Mulled WIne

Kali ini aku bakal me-review lipstik favoritku yang baru. Let me introduce you to my new baby,

Revlon bukanlah brand yang asing di Indonesia, Super Lustrous Lipstick merupakan salah satu line lipstick yang friendly budget dan memiliki varian warna yang cukup banyak. Akhir-akhir ini aku sedang terobsesi dengan listrick. Entah kenapa kalau lagi bete akut obat paling efektif untuk mengobati bete aku adalah dengan beli lipstick. Untungnya aku jarang banget bete sehingga aku ga perlu banyak habisin uang untuk beli lipstick. 

 Aku memilih warna Mulled Wine karena itu warna merah tua yang tersisa di counter. Tadinya aku coba cari warna yang agak mirip dengan NYX Matte Lipstick Alabama karena warna merahnya kece abis XD Tanpa adanya tester, dan mas-mas spgnya beneran ngeyakinin kalo ini warna merah yg paling gelap, akhirnya aku beli. Setelah aku coba warnanya juga bagus meski kurang gelap.

Packagingnya dari plastik ringan. Aku sempat khawatir kalau packagingnya akan gampang patah karena aku sering sekali menjatuhkan barang barangku, tapi setelah tidak sengaja jatuh sebanyak beberapa kali, wadahnya tetap kokoh, tidak retak sedikitpun!

Foto diatas adalah swatchnya warnanya cukup menyala dengan cahaya yang cukup banyak, tapi menurutku warna merahnya stand out dan elegan. 

 Tenang, foto di atas bukanlah bare lips aku XD bibirku lumayan gelap dan gampang kering sementara aku sangat suka warna-warna yang terang. Untuk mengatasinya, aku tidak lupa untuk ikut menggosok bibirku setelah menggosok gigi untuk membuang kulit mati. kemudian aku menggunakan lipbalm dan kemudian ditimpa dengan lip liner. aku menggunakan lip liner hampir  diseluruh bibir, dan lebih memfokuskan pada bagian yang gelap. Hasilnya lumayan memuaskan, lipstick menjadi lebih lama tinggal di bibir, tidak membuat bibir kering, dan warna lipstick menjadi lebih stand out.

I really love the color. sebenarnya kalau lagi ngaca warnanya lebih gelap lagi, tapi tetep. aku suka banget dengan warnanya. meskipun langsung menggunakan lipstiknya pada bibir, warna yang didapatkan tidak terlalu jauh berbeda. Aku menggunakan lipstik ini dari pagi sampai malam, dengan makan minum, meski lipstiknya luntur, bibir masih terlihat merah. Dengan banyak sekali pilihan warna, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Creme ini benar-benar addicting!

Review: Revlon Photoready BB Cream SPF 30 in Light (Pale) Shade 010

Hola, niñas! Today, I'm going to review Revlon's PhotoReady BB Cream. As you guys know, I'm a huge fan of BB Creams but this is the first time I'm reviewing a western BB Cream. So, I pick Revlon for my first try ;;)
I choose Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream in Light Pale shade, which is the lightest shade. I bought this for 85K from Revlon stand at Supermal Lippo Karawaci Tangerang. This BB Cream claims it:
- hydrates like a moisturizer
- smooths like a primer
- covers like a foundation
- blurs flaws like a concealer
- protects with SPF 30 like a sunscreen

Let's talk about that last part, SPF 30. Intriguing, considering many BB Creams released in the US have had a lower SPF. 30 is fairly good, not great, but definitely good. It remains thick and creamy without leaving behind a white cast. Nice one, Revlon for good sun protection, YAAAY! 

This is available in 3 shade selections. Light (pale), light medium, and medium are the colors you can choose from. BB Creams were created in one, two, sometime three shades originally in Asia and were meant to adjust the skin tone, but in the US market, BB Cream are just another variation of tinted moisturizer.

Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream is a water based formula which starts out with a thick, creamy texture. At first application, I really like how creamy it is. It actually morphs as you begin to rub on your face. The texture "bursts" and become thinner with watery feel. 

The light pale shade I choose is too beige but still fits my skin tone, not too bad. Coverage is light weight and very breathable. Wondering how did this BB cream deliver? Scroll below and see my pics.

Pros:
- has a good packaging, with silver color look more elegant
- has a transparent spot at its package, it helps you to choose the color
- the price is cheaper than Asian's BB Cream like Etude, Tony Moly, or The Face Shop
- give you natural look like you didn't wear any BB Cream (light enough)
- has good sun protection with SPF 30

Cons:
- the oil control isn't great (don't available for oily skin)
- has a bad scent for me (smell like sunscreen)
- not give a lasting power
- not enough coverage

Who might like it?
- People who fit in 3 color spectrum
- People who looking for a good tinted moisturizer
- People with near perfect skin
- People who love the sunscreen's smell

Who might not like it?
- Fair-skinned people with warm undertones or dark skin tone
- People who have blemishes that need concealing
- People looking for a high coverage BB Cream
